PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Registered Level Instructor.
Started riding in 1982 at a hunter jumper barn in Virginia Beach, VA. (Where the jumping bug hit her HARD!) Moved to Maryland in 1984. Joined the United States Pony Club and rose to level C-3. Competed up to the Preliminary 3-Day Event Level. Was a working student for a former Olympic 3-Day Eventer.
Began working with adults with physical and mental challenges in 1993 at the Washington County ARC in Maryland. Worked in their homes caring for their day to day needs. Worked at Anita Lynn Home (now STAR Community) helping the residents in their day program duties. This is where she got her start in teaching therapeutic riding lessons around 1997 and she has been teaching off and on for 20 years.
